Uniform Policy

At Elms Bank we have school uniform that pupils are required to wear.

• This encourages the pupils to be smart.

• Avoids unpleasant comparisons or competition over clothes.

• Ensures that clothing does not detract from school work.

• All items of clothing or equipment should be marked clearly with the child’s name.

• Girls are asked to wear shoes with a sensible heel. High heels are not allowed.

• The wearing of make-up and jewellery is not allowed.

• The wearing of earings by boys or girls is not allowed.

• We ask that any watches worn are not expensive ones in case they are mislaid.

• Pupils are requested not to bring large amounts of money or valuables etc. into school.
