OFSTED inspectors said in June 2002:
“Elms Bank is a very good school with a number of excellent features. Pupils and students make very good progress and achieve very well in their learning and personal development. The quality of the teaching is very good and the school is led and managed very well.”
On behalf of my fellow Governors could I say how proud we are to be involved in the tremendous work of Elms Bank. The school continues to go from strength to strength in its efforts to achieve at the very highest level for individual pupils. It is a creative, stimulating, caring and above all a fun place to learn. Developing confidence, self belief and determination to achieve is at the heart of its philosophy.
We are never ceased to be amazed by the energy, enthusiasm and drive of the staff and pupils whenever the school is visited. The industrious and creative atmosphere of the school is almost tangible and demonstrates that this school is not just bricks and mortar, but a happy thriving, successful community.
The Arts Specialist Status is a very well deserved recognition for the quality of the work, high morale of staff and superb achievements of pupils. Furthermore it is a true testament to the school's strong and effective leadership.
We know that the staff of the school value enormously the wonderful support that they and the pupils receive from parents and carers. This important partnership is the cornerstone of the success of the school and its pupils. A success of which we are all justifiably proud and one which we wholeheartedly applaud!
